Prayer for John Morris

Please be in prayer for John Morris. He received an alarm call from one of the McInnis group homes where he works early this morning. When he went to check on it in the dark, he fell into a 6-foot hole and injured his shoulder and leg. A trip to the emergency room at Baptist East confirmed that he broke his shoulder and also his leg. He has been transported to the Baptist South Surgery Center this afternoon for immediate surgery. Please pray for the surgeons and others in attendance during his operation. Please also pray for comfort for his wife, Kay, as she cares for him.

My wife Elise took our daughter Gaye to Birmingham today for a consultation with Dr.Peters at the Kirkland Clinic…He scheduled her surgery to remove her Thyroid for Friday Oct. 3rd. He said there was a possiblity of two types of cancer because of her cell count and that her thyroid gland was two or three times larger than it should be. There is still a chance that there might not be any cancer. Gaye seems to fell good about it and she trusts in the Lord and trusts his will to be done. We continue to pray and thank you and the Emmaus family for all of your prayers.

Lord God...I humbly ask for Your presence to be made so real to Kris & Jeni during this trying time in their lives. Let them feel Your love and the love of all their brothers & sisters in Christ. I ask for you to meet all their needs as I know you will, calm any fears or worries that they may have and comfort them with the promises of Your risen Son.
Thank you Lord for always being in total control of every situation we face. We serve an AWESOME GOD!

Awesome God..Please be with David as he has his surgery on Tuesday..Let him feel Your presence, Your Spirit, Your holiness , with him. Guide the doctors hands to make the correct incisions as if You were holding their hand. Let his recovery be uneventful and blessed by You. Lord be with the family and cover them with your love and tenderness at this time. Let Your presence feel as real as anything they have ever encountered in this world. Erase any worries, fears or anguish that may to try and creep in to our earthly minds and replace it with Your promises. Let us cling tightly to those Lord and never let go. Special Prayer Request from Peggy Lesley at Brookwood Church ....

I am starting a signing for my son's best friend who has cancer (Hodgkin's Lymphoma). He is 11 years old and is not doing well at all. He was diagnosed with this cancer 2 weeks ago and the tumor is next to his jugular vein and entwined in it. It has moved his wind pipe over a inch making it hard for him to breathe. The tumor is the size of a large eggplant and is sitting right above his heart....
